This will be my first time to join the food blogging event of Lasang Pinoy. This time, it will be called Lasang Pinoy: LP12:distinctly PINOY with a TWANG!. Fusion dish! Now I have to go to my recipe files and see what I can come up with.
Here are some of the guidelines
1. The dish should be an original pinoy fare slightly tweaked infusing any ingredient/s from other country/s to substitute hard-to-find pinoy ingredients.
2. It could be an international cuisine based on the pinoy palate with consideration on at least one or more local ingredient.
3. The entry could be any dish respectful of Filipino culinary traditions or the use of original pinoy gadgets such as our own version of the ice-shaver [pangkaskas ng hielo] and the coconut horse [ pangkayod ng niyog].
4. Any pinoy food with a twist from other traditions, in other words…fusion.
5. Or an all original Pinoy delicacy that is cooked by a non-Pinoy!
This is open to all Filipinos with or without a blog, and to everyone else who has experienced eating with Filipinos, or simply loving the Filipino dishes, or has always wanted to try any Filipino food with all its glory and even with a little twist.
