Merienda (Snacks) for budget conscious shoppers can be found at food stalls in shopping centers. This food stall is at Harrison Shopping Plaza in Manila. From Left to right :Kikiam, squid balls, pritong lumpia and other fried foods. Behind is pancit canton and pancit bihon . Each serving costs less than 20 pesos ( or half a dollar). I’ve never so many food stalls in a mall. I think Harrison Plaza ’s target market are the middle class crowd of Manila. I remember Harrison Plaza Mall as such an elite mall in the mid 1970’s. Those were the days when SM supermalls were not the latest trend.
