tasty dumplings
After shopping in Divisoria for Christmas decor supplies, my husband and I walked over to Chinatown. Hungry from our shopping expedition, we chose “Tasty Dumplings”. The office crowd filled the place. Our order consisterd of Hongma (pork stew with vegetables) with bread and tasty dumplings, their specialty .

Their tasty dumplings is the basic ingredient in their menu. It could be served plain steamed, fried, in noodles , rice topping and combined with other dishes. We chose the plain steamed and dipped it in a “secret sauce” which tasted of vinegar and patis (fish sauce). An order of plain steamed Tasty Dumpling is 60 pesos.

What we loved was the Hongma , the pot roast cooked pata tim style with mushroom, steamed kangkong and star anise seed. You eat it with freshly baked Silver loaf with a golden crust and soft texture inside. A larger order of Hongma cost 110 pesos while the Silver Loaf bread is 35 pesos. It really satisfied our hunger. Yum!

Tasty Dumpling is located along Ongpin street, at the side of the San Lorenzo Ruiz Church (Binondo Church) and near Eng Bee Tin Bake Shop
