its the season for Misa de Gallo or Misa de Aguinaldo or Simbang Gabi.
The song Misa de Gallo best explains the meaning.
MISA De Gallo sa simbahan
At nagtilaok na ang tandang…
Ang awit na handog sa Mesiyas
Mayroon pang kastanyeta
At ang koro tuloy ang kanta
May saliw din ng kwanderata
Misa de Gallo sa tuwing Pasko
Nagdarasal ang bawa’t tao
At nagpapasalamat sa pagsilang
Ng Diyos na Hari ng mundo…
With bells ringing and loud Christmas songs playing, parish churches and chapels adorned with colorful lanterns and Christmas lights in give a festive mood to the parishoners. After the mass, the churchgoers drop by the neighborhood stall to buy puto bumbong or bibingka as their breakfast. We have a 24/7 bibingka stall near the parish chuch that makes bibingka for 40 pesos each.

Hot bibingka goes well with a hungry stomach after the mass.

Sipping a hot chocolate drinks makes it all the more perfect.
