Today, March 19…my two girls , two of their friends and myself ate a sumptuous breakfast at the Katipunan branch of Max Restaurant. Thanks to Blooey Singson , PR Consultant for Max Restaurant, I got 5 free one day gift passes for my family. I thought L would never wake up for breakfast but she did. Too bad because I already told her sister M that I had extra passes for her friends. The thing is I didn’t have an extra pass for my husband. Oh well. A great breakfast on a Monday for a hectic week ahead . We were greeted at the door by an enthusiastic floor manager who treated us like royalty. I felt so important. hehe. I forgot to bring my digital camera to take photos so I ended up using my nokia N70 camera.

L and I ordered the classic Tapa Meal.

I read from the press release that the classic Tapa Meal is the 60-year old heirloom recipe of Max’s founder Nanay Ruby Trota consists of tender beef slices marinated in tapa seasoning with zesty hint of pineapple and served with rice, two fried eggs and brewed coffee. L enjoyed her Tapa meal but got disappointed that there were no coffee refills. The coffee was excellent. Max’s specially brewed coffee from Indonesian Arabica and Robusta beans needs a second cup. Cost of the Tapa Meal is 155 pesos.

My daughter’s friends ordered the Pepperoni Omelet Meal.
omelet
The Pepperoni Omelet Meal is a deviation from the usual ham and beef fastfood fare with its savory pepperoni and cheese filling and served with orange slices, fresh bread loaf and brewed coffee and also available in vegetable omelet. Cost of the Pepperoni Omelet Meal is 120 pesos.

M ordered the Tocino meal. It’s tender pork seasoned with salt and pepper, pan friend with a tangy caramelized coating and served with rice, fried eggs and brewed coffee. The meal cost 120 pesos.

Everyone was contented with their meal choice. Normally I would never finish a cup of rice but I ended up eating everything.

Other Max’s Breakfast choices are:

Triple Chocolate Champorado- A tasty chocolate flavored champorado at 59 pesos. Or Add 15 pesos for two pieces of gourmet tuyo.

Sausage Meal- Juicy Slices of franfurters and caramelized Onions, sauteed in Max’s sauce. Served with rice, scrambled egg and brewed coffee at 150 pesos.

Adobo Flake Meals- Chef Gene Gonzalez lends its interesting Pinoy-progressive recipe of Adobo Flakes Meal of shredded bits of chicken pork adobo fried to crispy perfection at 120 pesos.

Longganisa Meal- Two pieces of meaty longganiza cured the hamonado way. Served with rice, fried egg and brewed coffee at 120 pesos.

Bangus Meal- A half-sized bangus marinated in garlic and vinegar for that real daing flavor. Served with rice, fried eggs and brewed coffee at 155 pesos.

Max’s Power Breakfast is available from 7 am to 10 am daily, at all of 72
free-standing Max’s outlets nationwide.

  1. Hi Noemi. I received a handful of free breakfast passes, too, which were shared among friends and family. We were earlier thinking about going to either the Katipunan or Congressional branch, but ended up going to Quezon Memorial Circle instead (so we could meet up with my mom and siblings). We weren’t so satisfied, as we felt we were denied quick service because we used coupons. I post about it here on the J Spot. Tsk. Now all I have are disappointing reviews.

  2. Hey,
    I am a big fan of Max’s. Umm.and I am breakfast-eating person too!
