What an early Easter Treat from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. This morning I received a letter and a dozen egg shaped doughnuts from Blooey, the PR person behind Krispy Kreme. The letter said that “We’d like to give you a first bite of these doughnuts that come in five designs and two flavors— chocolate and cream cheese”. Yum ! two of my favorite flavors. Lauren was at home that time so she was the only one who got her fill of an early Easter treat

“Oh mom. I will get fat again” She wailed

“then let’s share one doughnut”

I prepared a cup of Starbucks coffee while Lauren placed a doughnut at the microwave for 8 seconds.

Lauren chose the chocolate flavored doughnut with pink/purple/white sprinkles. You know, she practically devoured everything. I can’t really finish a whole doughnut because of my diabetes but I managed to take a bite before she finished the doughnut. Later on in the day, we tried the Cream cheese flavored doughnut. The cream cheese flavored doughnuts are the best tasting ever. I think this is their best selling flavor. I don’t know with you but it’s my favorite doughnut flavor.

Maybe I will use these Egg shaped doughnuts for my traditional Easter Egg hunt. The one who collects the most number of Easter egg shaped doughnuts will be proclaimed the winner. I haven’t determined the prize yet.
