Hossein
A week ago we celebrated Lauren’s college graduation at Hossein’s Persian Kebab over at the Serendra Piazaa. She texted me during the graduation ceremonies that she was craving Indian or Middle Eastern Cuisine. Off we went to celebrate her graduation at Hossein know for its gamut of Indian, Arabian, and Persian dishes. Lauren is definitely shocked with the prices.

Hossein Persian Kebabs is an exquisite and fine dining experience. I love the draperies that hung on some seats along the wall. I feel like I am in a castle.

It was time to order.

We ordered kebabs, Shrimp, Beef Curry and some dishes whose names escape me now.

We requested “medium” hotness. Apparently medium hot is not the degree of hotness we envisioned it to be. Medium HOT is HOT HOT. I guess the Filipino taste is still a bit mild, at least in our family. We loved the fragrance of the saffron rice though. My favorite was the Mango lassi, (a yogurt drink) which is sour tasting unlike other lassi drinks in other restaurants. The lassi seemed to neutralize the hot flavors we imbibed that night.

Despite the hot flavor, we still enjoyed the meal. After all, the celebration was the highlight of the evening.

    Hossein’s? Fine Dining? Really?

I guess the Serendra branch is a far cry from the Makati Ave branch,

    Interesting.

Well it had a fine dining ambiance. I know Hossein started as a hole in the wall type of restaurant. They’ve gone places now.

I liked it. Nice table clothes there. Highway robbery though.

A must try! I love spicy foods. The hotter the better. Thanks for blogging about it.
