If you’re in Manila and want Japanese, I suggest you try Yakimix. I strongly discourage you from Sakae Sushi. I had a terrible experience in their MOA branch. (Their Fort branch had similar slow service but that branch closed down so no point sharing my comments on it).

In December 2009, my family and I dined there. We waited 1 to 1.5 hours before our orders were served. The conveyor belt was often empty (as in 0 plates going around) to the horror of my brothers who were having the buffet. In the time that we were there (about 2 to 4 hours), we only saw 4 red plates (2 of 2 kinds actually). So much for them marketing the quality of their buffet.

To be fair to them since it was the holidays, I asked the manager if they were shorthanded. I was told they were not. And mind you the restaurant wasn’t full packed. The other tables were complaining as well. How sad.

My family and I will be visiting the Philippines next month on the 7th. Unfortunately, we will be landing late in the evening at 8:40 PM. We would probably be out of the airport by 9:30. Do you know if there are any resturuants that is near the airport or around Manila that is open 24 hours or open till 12 to 2 in the morning. We were hoping to have filipino food with some western cusine.
