Lauren surprised us last sunday with a box of cupcakes from Gonuts Donuts. It got me thinking that they were trying to grab a chunk of the market share from Cupcakes by Sonja. I opened the box and found six neatly arranged cupcakes with very attractive colors. I wondered if their cupcakes taste as good as it looks.

Of course Cupcakes by Sonja has a superior taste compared to the Gonuts cupcakes. The thing is these cupcakes are very affordable at 30 pesos each compared to the cheapest Cupcake from Sonja which reaches 50 pesos. The cupcakes tasted so ordinary to me. Maybe because the taste of each cupcake was no surprise.
