For our New Year’s Noche Buena meal, we ordered a peppermint ice cream cake that’s only available for the holiday season. It costs 795 pesos. The ice cream has delicious chocolate pieces and crunchy peppermint bits, but the best part is the thin layer of minty chocolate pieces near the bottom of the cake. The chocolate gets a little syrupy as you reach the edge of the cake, making this the most sinful dessert I’ve ever had. One slice can easily satisfy your sugar fix for a week.

I don’t even want to think about how many calories one slice has. >_<

Like you, I have always associated Dairy Queen ice cream with Blizzard. I think the last time I had ice-cream cake was in grade school. I just got to try one of those.

Thank goodness you have blogged something about ice cream cakes. We are researching about this kind of desserts for our subject. Can’t believe that it exists here in some places of Manila.
Thank you very much for posting some of the places where you can purchase ice cream cakes ^_^
is there a DQ at greenhills?
I like the cotton candy blizard. That and peanutbutter cup are my favorite flavors.
