Delifrance Spiked after 5 Coffee
Posted by Noemi | Under Uncategorized with 2,815 views Saturday Feb 23, 2008There are a lot of ways for you to drink your coffee: You can drink it with a little bit of milk; you can have it short, sweet and with a lot of kick; or you can take it naughty.
Take it from the man who invented the Irish Cream Coffee after his plane bound for the US had to turn back due to bad weather. In his quest to sneak in a little rotgut into his drink, he sweetened coffee with sugar, spiked it with Irish whiskey, topped it with lightly whipped cream and the first steaming cup of java jolt was born.
This exciting twist to enjoying a cup of coffee is of course, dependent on the right mix of flavor and spike. A sprightly Mexican coffee calls for Kahlua or Tia Maria, while a rich cup of Italian joe will likely call for a healthy serving of Amaretto, Frangelico or Sambuca. And Irish Coffee certainly, deserves a dash of Irish Whiskey.
For the most part however, Filipino coffee aficionados had to settle with spiking their cups with rum or whichever moonshine they happened to come across; until the Euro-continental expertise of Delifrance translated its gastronomic savvy into an exciting line of spiked coffee. And guess what, they’re doing it for FREE via the new after-five experience with a twist: Spiked after 5.

Delifrance Clubhouse Sandwiches
Posted by Noemi | Under Uncategorized with 5,421 views Saturday Feb 23, 2008If you have so much work you feel like you don’t even have time for a healthy bite, take heart. People have been in this dilemma for centuries.
John Montague, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, is the 18th century counterpart of the workaholic urbanite. Too preoccupied by his commitments to the navy, politics and the arts, the Earl barely had enough time for a nutritious lunch out. His cook solved this impasse by presenting him with sliced meat inserted between two pieces of bread—the perfect meal as it required no utensils and could be eaten with one hand, leaving the other free to continue with his work. Soon orders for this dish, the frequent favorite of John Montague, became known as the “same as Sandwich” and then simply “sandwich.”
Abalos Burger er Abalos Borjer
Posted by Noemi | Under Uncategorized with 2,206 views Wednesday Feb 20, 2008Ben Abalos’ burger recipe is suddenly famous.

During an interview in “Harapan” last February 16….Benjamin Abalos immediately went on the offensive, dredging up the old charges raised by Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago that Lozada had entered into illicit deals and denying he had ever threatened the witness.
“It wasn’t true that I threatened him on Jan. 18 [2006],” Abalos said, showing documents that after that date Lozada came back to play golf at Wack Wack, and even ate at Ben’s Diner, which is owned by his daughter.
“I was the one who made the recipe. It’s the best burger. The documents show that you ate here a lot of times. You claimed I threatened you. You’ve been there at Wack Wack, having my burger,” he said, pronouncing burger “borjer.”
