Candy Creations by Jelly Belly

Wednesday Mar 12, 2008

Candy can be so much than a kiddie treat—that is, if you take it seriously.

And for the country’s leading confectionery, candy is definitely a serious business: Candy Corner hosted a banquet in Le Soufflé Rockwell Club to showcase candy creations inspired by Jelly Belly beans, the world’s #1 gourmet jelly bean. Ms. Bubu Andres, queen of the confectionery kingdom Candy Corner, hosted the event where attendees toasted with Jelly Belly Mocktails and Cocktails, ate desserts inspired by true-to-life Jelly Belly flavors, and admired the edible table masterpieces bursting with color and texture.

The Russian Cookie house

assorted russian cookies

Homemade cookie makers usually offer a predictable line of baked treats - chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, etc. While those are always good, it’s great to come across homemade goodies that you won’t exactly find in your average bakery. The Russian Cookie House brings to you homemade cookies from Russia and Europe, their bestseller being the dark-chocolate topped pistachio cookies. Other cookies available on the menu are classic Russian cookies covered in powdered sugar and a walnut in the middle; Jan Hagel cookies, a cinnamon-flavored Scandinavian treat; Linzer cookies from Austria made with grated chocolate and ground almonds, topped with chopped almonds and jam; and cranberry pistachio biscotti, a Christmas treat made with pistachios and dried cranberries.

You can get your cookies from the Russian Cookie House on a by-order basis. Contact them at 0917-895-2863. Cookies are made only after you place their order to keep them fresh.

Better yet catch them at the Trinoma Dessert Haven till March 16.
