Unilever Foodsolutions (UFS), the foodservice arm of Unilever Philippines Inc. just embarked on the Passion Feeds Passion campaign to make its mark in the local food service industry.
A key component of their campaign is their new online portal, www.theculinarians.com, where people can gather virtually and talk about food and cooking. Besides that, the website offers information on new restaurants, innovative recipes, latest culinary trends, and handy kitchen management techniques. The idea behind the site is to be the space where passion feeds passion, with the ultimate aim of bringing the food service industry to greater heights by creating a spirit of camaraderie among people who are dedicated to improving their craft.
Watch out for the Food Hotel Asia (FHA) Culinary Challenge 2008 that will take place in Singapore on April 22 to 25. The FHA Culinary challenge is the opportunity for chefs to hone and show their skills to the international community. In 2007, the Philippine team brought home the gold medal for the Gourmet Team Category challenge. They intend to replicate the feat at Singapore this year.
