Rice, as we all know, is a staple in Filipino cuisine and until Kanin Club at Paseo de Sta. Rosa, Laguna, I haven’t encountered a restaurant whose main focus is rice and the many different ways you can cook it. Sure, there are those fast food kiosks that serve all sorts of rice dishes, but going to those places is an eat-and-run affair; they don’t offer the same honey, restaurant atmosphere Kanin Club has.

Half an ounce a meat a day; just one big bite– that’s the amount of red meat it takes to apparently double your chances of contracting cancer. Filipinos already know that fish is healthy but kids won’t normally eat fish because of the fishy taste. No matter how they create and re-create fish dishes, kids still won’t eat them.
