I love Lipton Milk Tea and I have no second thoughts in checking out their “Rainbow of Joy” Food tour.
The problem was it was my son’s 8th death anniversary and I usually cook dinner at home. But who says I can’t break with the tradition? The good news was that I could bring my family along. I remembered the rainbow 8 years ago after the burial of my son which brought a little smile to my face. Surely the Lipton Milk Tea will bring more smiles to my family on this very special day.

At the last minute, my husband felt ill but my mind was set to celebrate dinner outside my home for a change of scenery. Lauren, Marielle and I made our way to Greenbelt 5 and see what Lipton had in store for us.
Appetizers At the Myron’s Place
We were told that the event would take place at Myron’s. Located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 5, Myron’s Place serves delectable delights that range from premium steaks and salads. We thought that Myron’s would be the only restaurant we’d be dining at that evening but to our pleasant surprise, it was only the start of a string of culinary surprises. Travel and Food bloggers discovered that our food odyssey was a unique, progressive kind food trip as Lipton Milk Tea took us to different restaurants in Greenbelt 5. Lily, our gracious host, told us that every culinary delight would be paired by a variant of Lipton Milk Tea. The result was a rainbow of joy both for the palette and tummy!

For this particular night, Mushroom Crostini and Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp was served to us together with a hot and delicious cup of Original Lipton Milk Tea. The original variant of Lipton Milk Tea has the perfect blend of milk and black tea, making it great, light, and enjoyable beverage.

“Tea is not just a ‘stand alone’ beverage that you sip between the meals,” says tour host Lily. “It is also a very versatile natural drink that goes perfectly well with food.

Unlike coffee, which works as a neutralizer, tea naturally complements food by rounding off its flavors. Tea fills in those flavor gaps in a dish without diminishing your appetite. In fact, it leaves you craving for even more food. This satisfying property of tea makes it a healthier food accompaniment then water or even wine.”
“Milk tea in particular is a great transition from coffee. Ordinary tea may taste bland or bitter to regular coffee drinkers but having a little milk and sugar in tea gives it a bit more pizzaz!” she adds.
Main Course at the Chateau 1771
A choice of Maple Glazed Black Cod with boursign (herbed cream) cheese potato gratin or Braised Beef Short Ribs with shallots and garlic was offered to the bloggers when we arrived at Chateau 1771, the same owners of Portico 1771 where I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary.

This famed restaurant is known for its “no borders” cuisine: mouthwatering new spins on well-loved Swiss, Italian, and French culinary favorites that are simply divine on the taste buds. The flavors of the main course dishes were further complemented by the sweetness of Lipton Milk Tea Gold, which has a more robust flavor with a mix of premium black tea, generous amounts of milk, and sugar. The Lipton Milk Tea God is my favorite flavor of all. I heard from Minnie Fong (Brand Building Executive Lipton) of Unilever Philippines that the Gold Flavor is their number 1 selling flavor. Try it out for yourself and you’ll see why.

“Tea is also in one sense a great flavor bridge from one course to the next. It refreshes and readies the palate for flavor sensuality of the next course in your meal,” said Lily. “More importantly it can also be paired with a specific dish – to help complete the flavor journey of that dish.”
Dessert at Classic Confections
The main course left me satisfied without feeling as though I had no room for dessert. There’s always room for dessert!

The final stop of the food tour was Classic Confections, where the bloggers were treated to a rich array of sweet treats such as Nono’s chocolate oblivion, Banana crepe pie, Mini butter and chocolate cupcakes, Mango torte, and Opera torte.
Our favorite dessert was….

Nono’s chocolate oblivion

The tempting treats went perfectly with the soothing cup of hot Lipton Milk Tea Vanilla that was served along with our pastries. The sweetness of the dessert and creaminess of the milk with a hint of vanilla in the Lipton Milk Tea made it a delectable combination to cap off a tummy fulfilling evening.

The unique flavors in Lipton Milk Tea is made up of Lipton’s premium black tea leaves and all natural ingredients that are used in making this delicious drink. This powerful duo combination complements any light snack, full sumptuous meal, or scrumptious dessert.

The food tour confirmed that Lipton Milk Tea is a great beverage to consume in between meals because if its subtle sweetness and sweetness. More than anything else, the warm comfort of our hot tea placed all of us in a good in a good mood that evening.
From now on, I will choose and drink up a Lipton Milk Tea that complements my dishes at home.
