I had mentioned before that Coke Zero doesn’t taste any different from other diet sodas. But after eating out at restaurants and getting served Coke Zero because they don’t normally carry Diet Coke anymore, I developed an acquired taste for the reformulated sugarless cola drink. I still think that normal Coke tastes better than Coke Zero, but that’s already a given because sugar automatically makes anything unhealthy taste superior to its healthier counterpart.

It wouldn’t be accurate to compare Coke Zero to normal Coke, though. Next to other diet drinks, Coke Zero is the best alternative to sugary sodas. In terms of flavor, it’s not as bland and flat as Diet Coke and it doesn’t leave an aftertaste. But the best part is that it does the trick of giving you the illusion that you’re making a healthier option. My soda fix feels satisfied after drinking a can of Coke Zero, but it doesn’t feel like I just had a diet drink since it has a fuller flavor. And because I know it doesn’t contain any sugar, I don’t have to worry about burning the extra calories. Which is really what a diet drink is supposed to do.

• Videos must run for a minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 4 minutes and uploaded in Youtube.
• You may vlog in English or the vernacular.
• Include a link to http://buhaycoke.com and http://www.smhypermarket.com/ and include the following tags: Buhay Coke, Coca-Cola Philippines, SM Hypermarket, Philippines supermarket.
• To make an entry official, REGISTER HERE.

Deadline

• Entries should be posted on or before July 31, 2008.
• We will announce the winners on August 8, 2008.
