Goya Dark Mint Chocolate

People in the Philippines don’t normally rave about locally-made chocolate, probably because when you make a colonial-minded comparison to their foreign counterparts, the texture and flavor of the local ones would come off a little strange. Recently, however, I’ve been hearing a lot of wonderful things about Goya Dark Mint Chocolates from my friends in Twitter and Plurk. Since I go to convenience stores quite often, I did notice that Goya repackaged their sweets and created a high-end line of milk, white, and dark chocolate bars - which I love. But I’ve never seen any of these mythical dark mint chocolates around. Though I was told that you can find them at Mini Stop, I’ve never encountered so much as a shadow of a dark mint in the branches I’ve been to. I was starting to think that maybe the Goya Dark Mint Chocolates didn’t exist after all, until I finally chanced upon them at a Robinson’s supermarket on the way to the shampoo aisle.
