There’s no doubt about it - this year’s Oktoberfest is going to be the longest, grandest, most exciting celebration of beer in the world. For one thing, it’s not just going to last during the month of October. The 2008 Oktoberfest is going to last 120 or four whole months. And to cap off the occasion, San Miguel is releasing a limited number of San Miguel Oktoberfest beer.

The limited edition Oktoberfest beer is a reformulated pale pilsen made of floral, citrussy hops and pale lager with malty notes. It promises to be full-flavored, slightly sweet, light-bodied, and smooth - the satisfaction of beer without the dizzy and nauseating effect of too much alcohol.

The Oktoberfest brew will be released during the San Miguel Oktoberfest kick-off party on September 5 at the Coyuito Parking lot, San Miguel Ave., Ortigas Center (in front of the San Miguel head office complex, gate one). The party is going to make history as it attempts to set two Guinness World Records for our country: the longest beer bar and the biggest beer-toasting crowd. So join the fun on September 5 and the chance to be part of a Guinness World Record!
