Weekend markets give me one more reason to look forward to every weekend. Only here can you find a unique assortment of goodies and items you won’t normally see in malls or retail shops. I also like the fact that most of the items for sale are usually the products of Filipino small business owners who practice free trade (meaning, they give the farmers fair wages). I like supporting our countrymen and making sure that my money goes to them.

PICK Manila is the first weekend market in Manila. Held every Sunday of September from 7 am to 2 pm within Celadon Manila, shoppers and food-lovers will definitely go nuts over the wide variety of Filipino entrees, pastries, specialties, and desserts, as well as international offerings from Japan, Thailand, and Spain.

PICK Manila is a sort of preview for Celadon Manila’s up-and-coming retail area, Shops at Celadon. It’s a 2,500 sqm shopping area that has a unique mix of leisure and recreational facilities and establishments.

Some of the exciting local offerings you can find at PICK Manila are Divine Treasures, who offer fresh puto made out of high quality rice; Dalisay Sweets, one of the leading food manufacturers in the industry that exports fruit and vegetable preserves; and Kukziboz, who serves Filipino native dishes like Tinolang Manok and Bistek, cooked home-style like your mother would have done. I think anything that’s edible and Filipino is pretty much be found here. There is also Asian food available at Thai Sticks and Steaks, and Ivy’s Catering, which offers California maki and sashimi.

PICK Manila also contains a range of organic products from Fresh Sugarcane, who sells ice-cold extracted sugarcane juice; Mister Herbs, a retailer of alternative medicine that contain herbal plants; All Organics, who sells a range of bath and body products containing nothing but natural ingredients.

The delicious food offerings and healthy products available at Celadon Manila’s PICK Manila is just one reason for you to keep going back to the historic city of Manila.
