Conti’s is without a doubt one of the most popular restaurants in Serendra. Every time I pass by the place it’s always full, and I’ve been told that their branches in TriNoMa and Greenhills are just about as crowded. What I like about Conti’s is that it’s incredibly unpretentious in its decor, food, and prices. For a restaurant located in such an upscale place, Conti’s has reasonable prices and dishes that are well worth your money. I had late Sunday lunch there with my parents, sister, grandparents and uncle and I thought I’d share what we all ate.

For starters, I ordered a tokwa’t baboy (Php 75) but I saved some of the tofu to go with my arroz caldo.

Lunch for me was chicken arroz caldo (Php 105). I wasn’t feeling particularly adventurous and besides, rainy days call for warm, soupy-like meals!

My uncle had shrimp linguini (Php 220) which I never got to try out because he devoured it in an instant.

My lola ordered the herb-crusted fillet of fish (Php 220). I had to read the seafood menu out loud to her because she forgot to bring her reading glasses with her.

My mom had the paella madrileno at Php 285, which I got to try out because she was right next to me. I love how rich and thick the rice tasted like.

My dad had the lechon kawali (Php 215), which also came with a small lumpia!

My grandfather got a shrimp supreme sandwich (Php 120). I was too busy eating my food to try out his but looking at all that cheese oozing out of the sandwich is making my mouth water.

My sister got the chicken roulade, which is a stuffed chicken of sorts, with java rice (Php 225) .

And finally, DESSERT! Conti’s also makes a whole line of cakes and pastries, which are on display by the entrance. My sister has been forever telling me about the Mango Bravo (Php 105), a frozen mango and merengue cake which she claims is the best cake at Conti’s. We ended up ordering five Mango Bravo slices for the whole group. At first, I thought that I would never be able to finish mine because the cake slice of each serving was huge. But since the cake is made out of merengue instead of flour, it’s very very light on the stomach.

Total bill was Php 1,946.00 inclusive of VAT. Not bad for a party of 7!
I believe Conti’s Serendra is the most affordable restaurant in Serendra.
