Sometimes, it just needs a little push to be aware of organizations out there who help others in need.
Sometimes it just needs awareness. Remember the reasons for starting my advocacy blog? I wanted to promote my advocacy to as many families out there through my blog.
“Sometimes all one needs is a start,” says Paolo del Rosario, Director for Marketing “If you’re one of the many who have continuously pledged, year in and year out to get involved or want to help but don’t know what organizations are out there, The 12 Cups with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Give in to Giving Promo can serve as your springboard.”

Partnering with 12 organizations that cater to different advocacies – Kababaihan Gabay sa Bayan (KAGABAY), Caritas Manila-Restorative Justice, The Philippine Animal and Welfare Society (PAWS), Bahay Tuluyan, Haribon, Cartwheel Foundation, Kythe, Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP), Philippine Cerebral Palsy Inc., Philippine Band of Mercy (PBM), Resources for the Blind, and Philippine Business for Social Congress (PBSP) – The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s wide selection gives its customers a chance to support the cause they are most passionate about.
CBTL commits to donate in a customer’s name the following:
* Kababaihan Gabay sa Bayan (KAGABAY) : P600 per child for kids’ education needs
* The Restorative Justice Program of Caritas Manila : P1,000 for values formation classes and materials per schoolyear per inmate
* The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) : medicines for animals under their care
* Bahay Tuluyan: a birthday present per child worth P250
* Haribon: adoption of a seedling
* Cartwheel Foundation: P8,000 for educational materials, curriculum development, tuition, teacher training for each student per schoolyear
* Kythe: an unforgettable kids’ outing
* Autism Society Philippines (ASP): P2,000 for books needed by children to study
* Philippine Cerebral Palsy, Inc.: P1,800 per month per patient for medicine and rehabilitation
* Philippine Band of Mercy (PBM): P8,000 for the operation of each child
* Resources for the Blind: P1,000 for Braille textbooks
* Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) : medical consultation worth P200 for a child

The bloggers had the chance to talk to each of the 12 representatives of the organizations present for this event. If possible , I’d like to help all but the first on my list is the Bahay Tuluyan- ( meaning House of Welcome). They work with children in need of special protection because they believe that all children deserve to live in peace, justice, and dignity and strives to uphold the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Children. Such children include the abused, exploited, abandoned, neglected and street children as well as children in conflict with the law, child laborers, trafficked and prostituted children.

Give in to Giving also has something for art lovers. Featuring limited edition commemorative journals designed by 12 of the most important Filipino artists today will be given away as a token of appreciation to those that participated. “If you ask me, with the abundance of blogs, social networking sites and mobile phones, the passion of our generation is really that we share a piece of ourselves to others,” say del Rosario “Through Give in to Giving, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf hopes this will start a changing our generation for the better, one cup at a time.”

A giving journal with artworks from Zean Cabangis (Tess and Lito), Erwin Leano (Bend), Carlo Angelo Saavedra (This is the Sea) and Salvador Joel Alonday (Celeste) which will be given to participants of the 12 Cups with The Coffee & Tea Leaf Promo.
After completing 12 drinks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will not only make a donation under your name for your chosen charity, but also give out ‘Giving Journals’ designed with artworks from renowned artists like Riel Hilario (Whatever Happened to Pygmalion and Galatea), Christina Quisumbing Ramilo (Madre Simula-BIRTH), Augusto Albor (Temperature), and Jose Tence Ruiz (Mana: TAKBU)
If you donate to all 12 charities, you get a one year supply of brewed coffee free.

For Christmas, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf offers its new Double Chocolate drinks which is also the featured drink for its Give in to Giving promo.

Sometimes all it needs is a kind-hearted business entity to offer this opportunity to give. Why not grab this opportunity to support the causes of these 12 charities or non-government organizations not only during the holiday season but also for the rest of the year?
It feels good to give. Make yourself feel good this Holiday season.
