I just received a dozen Krispy Kreme’s latest treat, the Apple Cheesecake Doughnuts. Normally, I avoid eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts, well because they are just too sweet for me. This doughnut was an exception. The apple slices topped on the cream-filled icing just lured me into taking another look. Besides, I love apple-filled baked goodies.

Hear this.

The Apple Cheesecake Doughnuts—the all-time favorite doughnut gets a sweet kick for Mother’s Day as Krispy Kreme fills its doughnut shells with tart, apple filling offset by a sugary drizzle of caramel, rich cream cheese icing and fresh slivers of red and green apples.

My husband and I just ate a piece of Apple Cheesecake doughnuts with a steaming cup of coffee at home. I bet it is just as good if paired with Krispy Kreme Signature Coffees. Surprisingly, the Apple Cheesecake doughnut wasn’t as sinfully sweet as I expected it to be and I didn’t get to binge for another unhealthy seconds. One doughnut was enough to satisfy one’s sweet tooth.
