Like the millions of fans tuned to the public memorial, I happened to see this portion of Magic Johnson’s tribute. In his tribute, Magic was amazed that Michael Jackson had a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner while he ordered grilled chicken from the chef. Here is that video tribute.
I was thinking, free advertisement to over 30 million TV viewers and 10 million others in live streaming video. Good for Kentucky Fried Chicken. This afternoon, a friend and I happened to pass by Kentucky Fried Chicken at SM Marikina for a snack. The place was sort of empty at 4:00 PM. Maybe SM Marikina is just not a favorite hangout for families.
No, I didn’t buy a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. I looked at the price though since it’s been a while since I bought a bucket. It is 550 pesos for the “Mom’s Dinner Helper” . Along with 8 pieces Original Recipe or Hot and Crispy Chicken, the package included 4 rice, 4 regular fixins, 1 liter Tropicana Juicy Pulp. That’s quite ideal for small get-togethers. In fact, if my family was with me, I’d order this “Mom’s Dinner Helper”
I got their 2 piece chicken meal , dinner bun instead of rice and Pepsi Max which cost 135 pesos. I just added coleslaw for some fiber to go with the greasy food.
Kentucky Fried Chicken is indeed yummy up to a point . I just think there is a high salt content and that’s because I don’t really enjoy salty food. I can’t imagine eating a bucket of salty chicken.

awww this is my favorite chicken! even their mashed potato too. when we eat there, we used to get a pitcher of gravy. I really can’t wait for tomorrow. Me and my mom will gonna go to southmall just to get 3 buckets of chicken for a birthday party tomorrow.
