I am such a Krispy Kreme Fan since the day the first branch opened in 2006. I shouldn’t be eating doughnuts but I indulge only on special days. Today is a special day. Not only is it Krispy Kreme’s 72nd Birthday, it is Luijoe’s birth Anniversary. It’s truly a day to celebrate. It’s certainly a day to indulge on sweets. After my husband and I came from the cemetery to bring flowers to my son’s resting place, we joined a small gathering of bloggers at the Bonifacio High Street branch. My husband and I were in high spirits.
It was nice to be with friends and just enjoy the moment with coffee and my favorite “New York Cheesecake” while Butch ate Caramel Apple.
We were told that a Krispy Kreme special promotion was launched today to celebrate Krispy Kreme’s 72 years in business. Krispy Kreme fans will surely love to participate.
The Krispy Kreme International Fave Fan Search to find the favorite fans in Krispy Kreme international markets kicks off today. Participating countries include: Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Canada. Krispy Kreme fans residing in these countries can enter the contest by simply going to www.krispykremefavefan.com and submitting a brief description of their special Krispy Kreme moment, as well as their favorite Krispy Kreme picture.
A dozen (12) Fave Fan finalists will be selected from each participating country after the entry submission period ends. Krispy Kreme fans will ultimately decide the winner by voting for their favorite fan entry. Voting to select the International Fave Fans will run from October 1 to October 31, 2009 at www.krispykremefavefan.com. All Fave Fan finalists from each participating country will receive exciting Krispy Kreme prizes.
“Krispy Kreme has really grown to become a cult favorite in the Philippines,” says Mark Gamboa, Marketing Manager, Krispy Kreme Philippines. “Our search for the country’s number 1 fan is a way for us to give back to Filipinos who continue to make everyday special for Krispy Kreme Philippines.”
Philippine Fave Fan finalists will be eligible to win the following prizes:
Grand Prize Winner –Philippine’sTop Vote Recipient (1 Winner)
• A trip for two (2) to Krispy Kreme’s headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC, USA. This person will represent Philippines at the International Fave Fan Summit in the U.S. in early 2010.
• The chance to design and name a special Krispy Kreme doughnut and have it sold by Krispy Kreme Philippines during 2010.
• A year’s supply (two (2) dozen doughnuts per month for 12 months) of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to enjoy and share with friends and family.
Runners Up – The 11 remaining Filipino Fave Fan finalists will win either a six (6) or three (3) month supply (two (2) dozen doughnuts per month for six (6) or three (3) months respectively) of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to enjoy and share with friends and family.
To participate in Krispy Kreme’s International Fave Fan Search, Krispy Kreme Philippines fans are encouraged to:
1. Share news about the Krispy Kreme International Fave Fan Search with friends and family so they can participate in this special contest.
2. Go to their local Krispy Kreme Philippines store to share a special moment with friends and family.
3. Try Krispy Kreme’s great-tasting doughnuts and iced beverages to brighten your day.
4. Take photos of friends and family enjoying a special Krispy Kreme moment and share those pictures with loved ones and favorite social networking sites.
