The Gift of Gourmet Desserts from DeliFrance

Thursday Nov 13, 2008

Not only does DeliFrance have a Secret Santa treat, they also have the Gift of Gourmet Desserts. This afternoon, I received Gourmet Desserts from Delifrance. What a pleasant surprise! It was a fitting touch to the efforts I placed after trimming our Christmas tree. As if on cue, the gift arrived by the time I got done with the last of the Christmas decor.

I am sure you are all in the midst of planning Christmas treats, gifts and sharing of traditions.

We know that families around the world celebrate Christmas by adorning their homes with stockings, wreaths, and evergreen trees. Much of my family tradition is a blend of Filipino and western culture.

For the food-loving French, the spirit of a Joyeux Noël (“Merry Christmas”) is expressed not only through festive decorations, but also in gourmet desserts that bring Yuletide cheer to every dinner table.

Lipton Milk Tea

Friday Apr 18, 2008

I just had a feeling good moment with my Lipton Milk Tea. Imagine this scenario….

You go to work and open your computer and you are greeted with dozens of emails all needing urgent responses. You dash from meeting to meeting, encountering heavy traffic in between. You sigh and say to yourself that the time wasted in transit could have been better put to use crafting and drafting the many presentations and reports your boss is expecting you to submit by the end of the day! Before you even jump to your next thought, you receive several text messages from people following up your deliverables. Just another typical day in your own private hell–work. And, you go through it every single day, five times a week, sometimes even more. You cry out, “I need a break!”

Break Time Magic

And Lipton couldn’t agree with you more. Yes, you need a break. With today’s fast-paced lifestyle and cutthroat competition, more and more people are getting the feeling of always being on-the-go and being constantly pressured to rush from one task to the next. They are required to perform more tasks and deliver these in lightning speed. Studies conducted worldwide have consistently shown that employees need to go on breaks. But, if that vacation leave is short of a miracle for the time being, a simple 15-minute break will do.

The Zen of Tea

Wednesday Apr 16, 2008

While some claim that they can tell the future using tea leaves, David DeCandia can do so much more—he can tell you what the future of tea is.

His arrival was a response from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s recognition of the burgeoning appreciation for the diversity of tea in the Philippines. “The Tea Appreciation seminar is our way of introducing Filipinos to the range of flavors that they can have with tea—and what better way to introduce them to this experience than through a renowned tea connoisseur like David DeCandia?” says Marketing Director of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Paolo Del Rosario.
